This Hama charger operates from the cigar lighter socket of almost any vehicle running on either 12v or 24v.
If you are driving a vintage Beetle with a 6v battery it will not work, but that will be the least of your problems.
It has two USB output sockets with an integrated circuit that identifies your device when you connect it and automatically supplies the correct power.
Each output supplies a maximum current of 2.4 amps making a total of 4.8 so two devices, eg a camera and an I-pad or smartphone can be charged at the same time.
