This event is sponsored by Canon, who will be providing a wide range of their legendary DSLRs and Macro lenses for you try.

An experienced photographer will be on hand to assist you should you require any pointers to get the most from your day. A great day for beginners or experienced photographer alike.

The Afternoon group session runs from 1.30PM until 4.00PM

SOLD OUT

This day takes place at: Liberty’s Owl, Raptor And Reptile Centre, Crow Lane, Ringwood, Hampshire BH24 3DZ

We provide all the cameras and lenses, studio flash lighting equipment, stands, backgrounds and standard hot shoe triggers as well as a variety of frogs, small reptiles and other creatures for you to photograph in a studio setting.

The sessions are shared between up to a maximum of 4 photographers per session giving everyone plenty of time and space to photograph these amazing creatures.

What you need to bring: You will need a memory card (SD ideally). There are Tea and Coffee making facilities available as well as Toilet facilities.

Recommended Camera Equipment: Although you don't need to bring a camera, you of course more than welcome to bring your own camera and lens if you wish, even if it isn't a Canon!

If you do decide to bring your own kit, it will need to be a DSLR camera or a high end “bridge” camera that is capable of being set to manual exposure with the ability to control ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed. The camera will also need to be able to accept a standard flash “hot-shoe” fitting flash trigger. If you are unsure of how to set your exposure settings please check your camera manual.

Lenses we recommend are a zoom lens of around 70 – 200mm and a Macro lens for closer work

Some Sony cameras have non-standard flash hot shoe fitting that will require you to bring an adapter to use our triggers. (Adapters can be found on Amazon and Ebay quite readily).
