Monoculars
Is a monocular better than binoculars?
If you only have one eye there is only one answer. If you have two eyes, you will find that a monocular is ideal as a quick spotter when you are out and about.
For prolonged viewing, binoculars are easier to hold steady using both hands and also more relaxing to look through.
If you're sharing your viewing with a person with wonky eyesight, a monocular spares the agony of individually adjusting the left and right eyes each time.
If you're heading out and can't decide whether or not to take your binoculars, a monocular provides the obvious answer.
