Nikon
Founded in Japan in 1917, Nikon are one of the world’s leading manufacturers of photographic and optical equipment.
They became internationally know in the 1950s after US photographers in Korea found a sturdy Nikon S2 a more than temporary replacement for a classic, but war-ravaged, Leica or Contax.
Nikon now have over 100 years of history manufacturing the highest quality cameras, lenses, and binoculars for photo enthusiasts, professionals, and creative adventurer types.

Nikon also make super-high-resolution microscopes for healthcare that work at the nano level, beyond the range of a regular optical device, as well as some boring stuff like spectacle lenses.
