Returns & Refunds

Online Orders

If the goods you have ordered are unwanted, or you simply change your mind, you must first inform us of your intention to return the goods within 14 days of receipt.

We will ask you to return the goods within 30 days of receipt, at your own risk and cost. We recommend using insured postage, though this is at your discretion. To qualify for a refund it is important that goods are returned in a re-saleable condition i.e. that you’ve kept all original packaging and labels and that they are undamaged, unused, unregistered and, where applicable, the seals remain intact.

Castle Cameras do not sell products on a trial basis. Customers are strongly advised to check suitability and specifications of products before ordering.

We reserve the right to fully inspect goods before agreeing to a refund.

Where returns are accepted in other instances (e.g. the item has been used), they will be subjected to a restocking charge (minimum 10%) to cover the loss we might reasonably expect to incur in reselling the item.

Used (pre-owned) goods may only be returned within 14 days of purchase and will be subject to a 10% re-stocking fee unless faulty. Refunds are assessed on a case-by-case basis, and return of used goods will only be accepted if they are returned in the same condition as sold.

To avoid any potential breach of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act (CDPA) 1988, all Software and DVDs will only be accepted if unopened and the seals are still intact. Opened software is non-returnable.

If your purchase is faulty, or otherwise not as specified, please notify us at once. If we are unable to resolve the problem over the telephone, we will ask you to return the goods without delay. Upon inspection, we will either refund the full cost, including return postage, or send a replacement to you.

Please note: if we are notified about faulty goods after 2 weeks from the delivery date, they will be subject to a warranty repair rather than a refund or exchange.

We reserve the right to levy a handling charge in the event of the returned goods being "no-fault found".

In store Purchases

If your purchase is faulty or, has anything missing, please telephone us at once. We can normally resolve the problem without causing you any further inconvenience.

If you change your mind or discover that your purchase is surplus to your requirements we will be happy to negotiate its return. There is a minimum handling charge of 10% to cover the transaction costs and the item may also be subjected to an additional restocking charge to cover the loss we might reasonably expect to incur in reselling.

To avoid any potential breach of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act (CDPA) 1988, all Software and DVDs will only be accepted if unopened and the seals are still intact. All opened software is exempt from return.
