Birds of Poole Harbour boat tour with Canon

Take a trip with us to explore the migratory birds in Poole Harbour. With a guide from the knowledgeable staff of Birds of Poole Harbour to help you identify what you see and give us lots of information on the area. We will also be joined by staff from Canon UK, who will have demo equipment to try on the day.
- Board the boat with us at 9am from Poole Quay, to take in the sights of Poole Harbour before heading up the river towards Wareham. Spring is a perfect time to see the many birds who use our harbour as a stop off on their migratory journeys. If you are an experienced birder or a complete novice there will be plenty for you to see. We will have the boat completely to ourselves so our guide will be able to tailor the experience towards a birding and photography angle. The top deck of the boat can comfortably hold 50 people, but we are going to restrict numbers to 35 so that everybody will have plenty of space to use binoculars and cameras.But that's not all! Canon will be joining us with a plethora of equipment to try-out from Binoculars to Cameras and Long Lenses. It doesn't stop there, Canon are also bringing along Ambassador, Oliver Wright who will show you how to capture the birds in their natural habitat. We will also have a Canon Guru on-board to answer all of your technical questions and as the icing on the cake, we will also have the brand-new Canon RF 1200mm F8L IS USM and RF 800mm F5.6L IS USM on-board!There are a number of great photography opportunities as we move to different locations around the harbour and we can stop and start whenever we want. We will have a beautiful trip around the harbour including a trek up the Wareham Channel to take in the scenery there, then around the rest of the harbour. The tour will last 3 hours.
