Zeiss 18mm F2.8 Batis for Sony Alpha FE

Taking advantage of the exciting possibilities of Sony3 mirrorless cameras, ZEISS Batis lenses are designed specifically to unleash the creative potential of full-frame sensors. If you are looking for E-mount lenses to give perfect image quality and which are robust enough to resist dust and spray water and offer not only super-fast, but quiet autofocus, then these lenses will deliver.

The very large field of view on the ZEISS Batis 2.8/18 lens is an astonishing 99° diagonally. Combine this with a minimum focus point of 25 mm and you can get amazingly creative shots with unusual perspectives. The quality of the image from edge to edge makes this lens perfect for astrophotography, architecture and those wide open landscapes. The OLED display will tell you the focus point and depth of field to ensure you get exactly the result you want. The spray water and dust protection means you need not fear getting closer to the action, whatever the condition. Push the boundaries of what you thought you could shoot and the results will amaze you.

Excellent resolution and high contrast - Richly saturated and vivid colours are a must in the creation of lasting impressions. However, stray light within an optical system leads to a lightening of the image that is particularly noticeable in the shadows. This reduces image contrast, with the result that exposures lack contrast and appear faded. To avoid this, ZEISS combines various specially developed technologies to reduce the undesirable effects of stray light.

Smooth and reliable autofocus - The design of the autofocus system requires an extremely accurate shifting of particular lens groups. The focusing system of ZEISS lenses is designed to ensure a robust and smooth-running autofocus mechanism with the best imaging performance.

Versatile full-frame lens - The powerful lens for the mirrorless full-frame system of Sony fulfills the highest requirements. Despite its compact design, the image meets the expectations of professional photographers.

Robust and weatherproof metal construction - Thanks to features that are designed to keep out dust and spray water, the lens is perfectly suited for critical outdoor conditions. It is also designed for many years of intensive use.

Innovative OLED display - For the first time, you can accurately read the focus distance and depth of field simply and intuitively on the OLED display on the lens. Especially in poor light conditions, excellent readability is always guaranteed.
