"This Nikon Z8 and Z9 Eyepiece is essential if using the Hydrophobia system. I have tried another type, imported from the USA, which worked well, but because of the shipping it was double the price. It creates a spongy barrier between your eye and the camera and creates a seal with the Hydrophobia system that prevents any moisture from getting to the camera or the lens. When not using the Hydrophobia system is stays on the camera and is an improvement to the standard Nikon eyepiece. It is easy to fit and exactly as advertised. "
