The versatile lens for a new era

Taking advantage of the exciting possibilities of Sony mirrorless cameras, ZEISS Batis lenses are designed specifically to unleash the creative potential of full-frame sensors. If you are looking for E-mount lenses to give perfect image quality and which are robust enough to resist dust and spray water and offer not only super-fast, but quiet autofocus, then these lenses will deliver.

Thanks to its close focusing distance of just 24 centimetres the ZEISS Batis 2/40 CF (Close Focus) and its angle of view that is a cross between a wide angle and standard focal length, is ideal for a whole host of applications. The new optical design was calculated on the basis of our tried-and-true Distagon format and lays the foundation for the exceptional imaging performance that this fixed focal length delivers. The high speed of f/2 offers creative design possibilities by virtue of cut-out objects, making this lens one no photographer should be without. The legendary ZEISS T* anti-reflective coating, combined with more than 125 years of experience in lens development and the latest technologies, ensure that every moment captured with a ZEISS Batis lens provides that exceptional ZEISS look.
