Winners Announced!
After serious deliberation, we have selected our winners. Thank you once again to everyone who entered. The standard was exceptionally high, and we congratulate you all on your excellent submissions.
First Place
Light by Gracie Meaney
'In this image I used the lighting from the street stalls to place the man working into the light while casting shadows over the crowd surrounding him in order to highlight him within the photo.'
Our team unanimously selected Gracie's photograph as the first-prize winning entry. She captured the brief beautifully.
Gracie wins a Sony ZV-E10L Interchangeable-Lens Camera with a 16–50mm lens.
Second Place
Her Space by Mwango Mubanga
'Her Space - an intimate snapshot at the end of the day as Amelia, a university student, gets ready for bed.'
Our team found this to be a very compelling image that captures the brief very well.
Mwanga wins a £100 Castle Cameras Gift Voucher.
Runners Up
There are three runners-up, all of which win a Castle Cameras Professional Sensor Clean worth £50.

Theme: “Unique Everyday Moments”
This FREE competition is all about capturing the unique, unrepeatable moments in everyday life. At a time when generated images and artificial perfection dominate our feeds, we want to celebrate what’s real.
Show us the raw, the remarkable, and the authentic. It could be an unexpected interaction on the street, a fleeting expression between friends, or a moment of natural beauty you stumbled across.
Any genre of photography is welcome, and entries can be taken on any camera –including your phone. The only rules: images must remain true to the moment. No heavy editing or manipulation is allowed, though minor adjustments (exposure, contrast, colour balance) are permitted. Your image must have been taken during 2025.

We have selected our ten finalists, who are shown below. Our second round of judging will take place on Tuesday, 9th December, with the winner announced shortly afterwards. The winner will be contacted via the AUB student email address submitted with the entry.

The competition is now closed. Judging will take place during the first week of December, followed by the announcement of the winner at the start of the second of week December.
